Our work together is a relationship of bringing out what is in need of attention and what you are often unwilling or unable to acknowledge within yourself – much like a mirror, to help you see what you don’t see.
Interestingly, what you don’t see (but are craving to see) is your strength, and your courage – your beauty, and your grace – and the intimate and respectful capability you have to be with your life.
The role of mindfulness is to develop one’s self into an aware, skillful, capable human being — and to quote Pema Chodron, to be a little playful in the process.
The focus is to direct attention into your life, just as it is— learning to open when you want to close, to stay when you want to run, and to fully participate in the process of your own life.
HOW IS THERAPEUTIC MINDFULNESS DIFFERENT THAN TRADITIONAL TALK THERAPY?
The best I can describe it is that we don’t sit at the bottom of the mountain very long discussing why you want to climb nor rummaging through your past. We simply start climbing.
We don’t go digging in the past for the sake of something to do. We start living now, and we will see what’s in your backpack (the good, the bad, and the ugly) as it comes up. If something is holding you back i.e. your past, we will welcome it, give it the respectful attention it needs. We say thank you for lessons learned, forgive, heal, and continue with life now and the path ahead.
Talk therapy limits people who don’t process life by talking and limits experiential practice. Experiential practice (living) is the value, the meaning, and the purpose.
Sessions are intended to explore, increase awareness, and lead to action so you can experience change.
Sessions are intended to help you live your life, not intellectualize it.

The time it takes to make life changes is in direct response to the time you invest in daily/weekly practice.
Most of my clients experience results (hopefulness, increased motivation, etcetera) in the first session. The process usually starts with six to eight weekly sessions, then bi-weekly, then monthly, then tune-ups as needed.
I do not believe people need “therapy” for long periods of time and I will do my best to give you the tools and skills you need.
Individual sessions are offered video-style, using a secure HIPAA compliant platform. Some benefits of telehealth are convenience, privacy, and flexibility in scheduling.

Half session (30 minutes) – $70

HOW DO I PREPARE FOR MY VISIT?
Prior To Your Telehealth Session: an informative email will be sent to you covering the virtual set-up.
It’s all rather simple.
WHAT TO DO WHEN IT’S APPOINTMENT TIME?
You will receive an email or text with a link that will take your to your appointment. Please do this 5 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment time.
Make sure you enable the microphone and camera on your device and adjust your volume. Please use a device other than your phone (if possible) for the best connection- and I will be with you shortly.
Cancellation Policy: If things come up and you need to reschedule an appointment, please do so within 24 hours. There is a 50% (of payment) cancellation fee if you cancel your appointment with less than 24 hr. notice.
