Individual Fees

Private Pay: $140 or $420 monthly (4 weekly sessions)

*Insurance for Washington State only, billed separately, and all questions can be discussed with my billing agency.


We begin with a 60 minute session, then based on what presents itself, I will offer recommendations to proceed. We usually meet weekly for 2-3 months (50 minutes); this is usually enough time to experience foundational change.

Sessions are conducted via telehealth using a secure HIPAA compliant platform.

*Evening & Saturday sessions are available.

In-person sessions & groups available Summer 2022 (Washington State), and I am in Charlottesville twice a year to maintain hybrid sessions.

Insurance. Private Pay. Cancellations.

  • The full fee is due at the beginning of each session (unless filing insurance). Payment confirms your appointment. You can pay by credit card via a secure invoice from Square Payments (most credit cards accepted) and all payments are encrypted for your security. Invoices are emailed to you
  • Private Pay Practice. Outside of Washington State, I do not participate with insurance companies and my private practice is considered mindfulness sessions, not therapy.
  • Washington State clients may use health insurance and/or request a superbill.
  • I have a 48 hour advance notice policy for rescheduling and cancellations. If you cancel or reschedule with less than 48 hours notice before your session time you will be charged the full fee for the session.

Questions & Getting Started

Our work together is a relationship of bringing out what is in need of attention and what you are often unwilling or unable to acknowledge within yourself – much like a mirror, to help you see what you don’t see. 
The role of mindfulness is to develop one’s self into an aware, skillful, capable human being — and to be a little playful in the process.
The focus is to direct attention into your life,  just as it is— learning to open when you want to close, to stay when you want to run, and to fully participate in the process of your own life. 
The best I can describe it is that we don’t sit at the bottom of the mountain very long discussing or psychoanalyzing why you want to climb, nor rummaging through your past. We simply start climbing. 
We don’t go digging in the past for the sake of something to do. We start living now, and we will see what’s in your backpack (the good, the bad, and the ugly) as it comes up.
If something is holding you back i.e. your past, we will welcome it, give it the respectful attention it needs. We say thank you for lessons learned, forgive, heal, and continue with life now and the path ahead. 
Talk therapy limits people who don’t process life by talking and limits experiential practice. Experiential practice (living) is the value, the meaning, and the purpose. 
Sessions are intended to explore,, increase awareness, and lead to action so you can experience change.

The time it takes to make life changes is in direct response to the time you invest in daily/weekly practice (which I will offer you in session).
Most of my clients experience results (hopefulness, increased motivation, etcetera) in the first session. The process usually starts with 8 to 12 weekly sessions, then bi-weekly, then monthly, then tune-ups as needed. 
I will not waste your time lingering in the unnecessary, and I will do my best to give you the tools and skills you need. 
Prior To Your Telehealth Session: an informative email will be sent to you covering the virtual set-up.
